Hello, I'm from Germany. Well, the industry here is generally on the decline. No matter whether the heat pump, photovoltaics, automotive industry, etc. Many are home-made problems. I think the German and European industry is facing difficult times. Unfortunately, our government doesn't recognize any of this and is even dismantling agriculture at the same time. We have the Seagull in Brazil, sold as Dolphin Mini, and is quite a hit. BYD called it Mini here to got it in the same name umbrella as the Dolphin, launched earlier and also a success. They are not super cheap, but can compete to same size ICE competitors like a VW Polo in top versions

Mate, it has 0 personality. The front lights copy from VW, the floating roof from the Opel Adam, the rear lights are totally generic of 2023 cars, the "side blade" copied from the Macan, the door handles from many others, the color scheme is totally generic of Chinese crap cars which copy from the retro Japanese cars of the 90s. Its waist line is way too high, the bonnet is way too short, the wheels feel way too small and, overall, it will be soon forgotten if ever it is even slightly remembered by anybody after watching the video.

I like learning about China's EVs! Too bad about those tariffs bc China's investment into the industry has paid off and I wis hwe had cheap EVs here. That being said, there are a few grammar mistakes and clunky phrases in the script which make me think that these videos were originally written in Chinese, and quickly translated into English. And also, I suppose in the US, I reeaaally look for things like Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Basically a make-or-break nowadays for me

We will never see affordable Chinese electric cars in Western countries. Because of protectionism, greed, and corruption. Trade barriers and tariffs hurt consumers. They protect old-fashioned, backward, and inefficient industries. They inflate prices, stop competition, and innovation.

Shame that the EU is making it harder for chinese cars to enter the EU market. Guess they are trying to prptect their legacy car makers from some heavy competition. Driving a Rav4 im germany atm and am looking to swap to a vw multivan or toyota verso.... but compared to these china vans they now seem ancient. Its not good for eu or usa consumers to not be given the choice of chinese made cars.

My dad owns the Jaecoo J7 in this exact same color, although here where i live, they dont sell the off-road styled one but this style has 4 different varients with the supreme being the highest with all the features and awd. He loves it compared to our last one which was a almost base trim 2022 Kia Seltos

I'm curious about what safety features these cheap cars lack. For example how many airbags, side impact protection, rollover safety, crumple zone protection for cabin occupants etc. It would be nice to know these things to put the low prices into perspective.
